Two Chefs Return for our Summer Cooking Series

By popular demand, the Italian Cultural and Community Center is happy to announce that Chef John Rosa of Papa La Rosa and Chef Giancarlo Ferrara of Arcodoro Ristorante will return this summer to demonstrate how to cook some of their favorite Italian dishes. On May 23rd John Rosa promises to have pizza flying, as he gives his techniques and recipes to making his famous Pizza Pie. Giancarlo will share some of his favorite Sardinian favorites on June 27th.

Each cooking class takes place in the auditorium, where the chef prepares and cooks on stage. Everyone is able to see the demonstration and follow along with the printed recipes they receive at the beginning of the class. Once the meal is prepared, then each person is served a full three course dinner accompanied with wine. This is not your ordinary cooking class where you leave hungry. Italians never let their guests leave hungry!

While both of these chefs are still planning their complete menus, they promise you will not be disappointed. Complete menus will soon be available.

  • Bresaola con insalata di fichi al balsamico.(ANTIPASTO)
    Bresaola with fig salad in balsamic vinegar (appetizer)
  • Paccheri alla crema di zucca. (PRIMO PIATTO)
    Paccheri in squash cream (pasta dish)
  • Filetto di maiale farcito con pinoli e pomodori secchi. (SECONDO)
    Pork Filet stuffed with pine nuts and sun dried tomatoes (main course)
  • Millefoglie di fragole con crema leggera. (DOLCE)
    Puff pastry with strawberries and light cream (dessert)
